Negative found us. Of course he did, how could he not have? We were barely two blocks away.Terri had passed out during all the commotion earlier. Negative burst throughout the window.

I picked up an ashtray that lay on the table and threw it and Negative. I instead hit Terri in the head. Instead of reacting at all to the hit, she calmed down.
For a moment everything was quiet as if the world around us didn't exist.
Terri closed her eyes for a while.
That little while felt like forever, it was if time slowed down just for this moment.
She opened her eyes, looked directly at Negative with the same look she had given me when she discovered me stalking her.
